What Does a Ceramic Coating Do?

Put simply exterior ceramic paint protection is very effective. Think of them as a permanent wax or sealant and sacrificial layer that provides persistent protection against environmental contaminants including oxidation, water-staining, bug strikes, bird droppings and high salt environments. There are many good options available and although they do require some ongoing care and maintenance, overall they simplify provide exceptional surface maintenance and provide you with that lasting shine to the vehicle’s finish.

Where does Final Touch come in?

Final Touch has been around for over 25 years. As the vehicle appearance specialists, we have the opportunity to try new products on a regular basis. Please note that we are not exclusive to any brand! We simply are masters at our craft which is vehicle correction and preparation meaning we can and do use the best products available on the market or can change to suit a customer’s request. The below products are some of the ones we use, have trialled and recommend.

What is the life expectancy of ceramic paint coatings?

The life expectancy of ceramic paint coatings caries from brand to brand and the environment in which they are used. Like any product, some care is required. Regular washing and drying of the paintwork, limited exposure to chemicals etc. Normally ceramic paint, coatings can be expected to last between 3-5 years with correct care. This can be extended with a Final Touch paint maintenance package.

What are the benefits of getting my vehicle detailed?

As opposed to a car wash that only focuses on the surface level look of your car, car detailing refers to services that extend your vehicle’s overall quality and lifespan. Car detailing is a specialised filed that requires technical expertise, as well as specialized equipment and supplies. This can be achieved with quality wax’s or through nano ceramic paint protection to paint protection film’s Maintain Regular maintenance will keep your vehicle looking like new and allow us to remove any blemishes or defects on a regular basis all designed to all save you valuable time and money.

What does working 'Mobile' mean, compared to at a fixed location?

Mobile detailing simply means that we will bring all our supplies and services to you. Depending on the service(s) needed and the weather we may need a sheltered area to work in (e.g. carport or garage). Some products cannot be used in sunlight or wet conditions.

What to expect when Final Touch shows up?

We operate both mobile (all regions) and from workshops (major centres) so our services can best match your needs. We assess your vehicle with you to discuss any last-minute questions or requirements you have. We keep all of our tools organised and neat to ensure we are not disruptive. Once we have finished we like to go back around the vehicle and make sure you are happy with the outcome

Can you offer any other services?

Yes! At Final Touch we invest in our staff and their development. We have worked with clients to provide other services depending on their special needs or requirements.

Do you offer warranties?

Customer satisfaction is paramount to Final Touch. When we carry out our ‘Repair’ and ‘Maintain’ services we will keep you informed as the work progresses and ask you to view the work before we pack up. If you notice anything after we have left please let us know, we will always aim to correct any service. Our ‘Protection’ services do come with a range of warranties depending on the products you have chosen such as ceramic coatings and paint protection film which can range up to 10 years to a lifetime warranty through our suppliers.

We already have our own groomers, do I need to use your detailing services?

Final Touch complements your existing team by completing additional technical or specialist repairs or providing additional resources to help you better manage cashflow and free up staff to concentrate on other time pressured areas.

What are the benefits of getting my vehicle detailed?

Enjoying your car more and providing easier maintenance, as well as good corporate branding, improving resale value and inventory turnover, or keeping your car looking good for longer can all save you valuable time and money.

Fixed pricing or quote per job?

Some of our corporate customers prefer a fixed pricing structure which we normally establish based on volume. Others prefer a job by job basis. We happy to discuss and set something up that works best for both parties.

Do I need to make an appointment or can you just drop by? How does your scheduling work?

Most of our clients book Final Touch on a regular basis - one or two days a week or month. By having set days it allows them and their team to align vehicles for our services, as well as being able to communicate with their customers/ employees when their vehicles will be ready. For other businesses and private owners we can typically be available with between 24 to 72 hours’ notice.
